Stafford and District Operatic Society performed its first show in 1924. This was Gilbert and Sullivan’s ‘The Mikado’, a show the Society has performed on a further five occasions, the last time being in 2005.
The Society did not perform a show between 1940 and 1948, as a result of the Second World War, but returned in 1949 with a production of ‘The Mikado’.
Our production of ‘The Pajama Game’ in 2006 was the Society’s 100th show.
